It’s not what we have in life that matters

It's not what we have in life that matters

The material things in our lives tend to shrink the size of our hearts as those things become paramount in our lives or even equal to real things. Most people don’t even realize what material things do to them or how those things change them. They can’t see it themselves but the people around them can. It can be really sad to witness this. There’s always justification by the people who are tainted by these material things like, “I deserve it,”. These people are typically obnoxious, demanding, and must constantly show others what they have. They are not humble in the least. Everyone is not this way but most are. ~ Tad White

You don’t have a clue what enjoying life is all about if you have to pay for it. Unfortunately most who have everything have no idea what it’s truly like to appreciate it when you have nothing and your loved ones are still right there with you. I’ve met more miserable rich folks then broke ones who live day to day or week to week. Life is what you make it. Unfortunately $$ gets in the way of what’s really important. For example, why do we have children starving right here in America when just a small percentage could be donated from the wealthiest! People get so caught up in hoarding $$As the song goes. “Don’t know why anybody wants to die rich, last I can remember…. I’ve never seen a hearse with a trailer hitch.” ~ Suzanne Cummings

Having family and friends who care is worth more than the things that money can buy.
