What scars remind us about?

What scars remind us about?

We must see all scars as beauty. Okay? This will be our secret. Because take it from me, a scar does not form on the dying. A scar means, ‘I survived’.
― Chris Cleave, The Other Hand

We do heal. So, if you have wounds now and you are hurting, just look at your other scars and tell yourself that this wound will also heal. ~ Lindokuhle Ngwenya

Life is but a series of obstacle courses to pave the way for and prepare us in real life encounters. Many, if not all of us, are ill equipped to confront, tackle and survive the hardy experiences. Our battle scars are just constant reminders that serve as proof positive that we have emerged victorious, if not totally unscathed, survived yet another encounter and lived to tell the tale. Its a solid testimony that despite what life throws at us, we strive to take them all in our stride to emerge stronger, braver and better able to face yet another day. Another test, another triumph. All our past experiences are but living lessons which have taught us to look at the bigger picture of life and beyond our past mistakes. We give thanks that we are so blessedly fortunate to be afforded second chances to live to see another new day. Another new level, another new challenge to overcome, succeed and survive. ~ Margaret Young

Some people try to keep recreating wounds that you have grown beyond trying to keep you trapped in victim state and you just have to force the change to stand up against it and not allow them to pull you back down with them. ~ Carra McClain

We must keep trying no matter what kind of scars. They may be inside or outside, but we all have them.

It also reminds me of the Grace of God and how it really kept me when none was there to support. ~ CaRol Gad
